Specializing in Early Intervention ABA Therapy

Early childhood is an important time for developing foundational communication, social, play, and daily living skills. At Westside Behavior Therapy, we focus exclusively on early intervention, providing individualized ABA therapy for children up to age six.

Our center-based program combines structured teaching with naturalistic, play-based learning opportunities to help children develop meaningful skills they can use across environments. Treatment goals are tailored to each child's developmental needs, with an emphasis on building independence, strengthening communication, and supporting successful participation in everyday activities.

Skills We Help Children Develop

Communication & Language Skills

We target communication to decrease challenging behaviors and increase the use of language. We utilize a variety of Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs), augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and can work closely with your child's speech therapist to encourage communication and language development.

Following Directions & Cooperation

We help children develop the skills needed to understand and respond to instructions, participate in daily routines, and navigate transitions between activities. Through individualized teaching and positive reinforcement, we work to increase independence, flexibility, and meaningful participation while addressing behaviors that may interfere with learning and everyday experiences.

Social Skills & Peer Interaction

We help facilitate and cultivate positive peer interaction from the beginning, sometimes even starting with simple proximity exercises. In our center-based environment, your child will have access to multiple similarly-aged peers in order to engage and practice new and developing social skills.

Family & Social Relationships

We include the whole family in our ABA programs, and may conduct parent and sibling training to ensure consistency in programs.

Play & Leisure Skills

Our ABA programs can promote and target appropriate play skills while diminishing challenging behaviors.

Daily Living & Independence Skills

We incorporate Natural Environment Training (NET) into programs in addition to creating task schedules for everyday life skills.

School Readiness & Transitions

While program goals are as diverse as our clients, we target transitioning our kids into schools whenever possible.

Learning Through Everyday Activities

If everyday outings and trips can be difficult, we may implement NET outings to accustom our clients to routine flexibility.

Toileting & Self-Care Skills

We use data tracking and daily schedules to make potty training a success.

Fine & Gross Motor Development

Our ABA therapists collaborate with your child's occupational, physical, and speech therapists, when applicable, to support functional skill development and reinforce shared treatment goals. This collaborative approach helps promote consistency across therapies and supports the use of developing skills in everyday activities.

Early Learning & Pre-Academic Skills

While emphasizing ability, we may incorporate pre-academic skills into our client's programs.

Getting Started With ABA Therapy at Westside

Receiving an autism diagnosis for your child can bring a lot of questions about what comes next. At Westside Behavior Therapy, we're here to help families understand their options and navigate the process of beginning ABA therapy.

Our enrollment process begins with getting to know your child and family, learning about your priorities, and determining whether our center-based program is an appropriate fit for your child's needs.

If you decide to move forward, our clinical team conducts individualized assessments to identify your child's strengths, areas of need, and meaningful treatment goals. From there, we develop a personalized treatment plan focused on building communication, social, play, and daily living skills.

We believe families are essential partners in their child's progress and work collaboratively with parents and caregivers throughout treatment.
