Early Intervention ABA Therapy

The early years of childhood are filled with opportunities to learn, explore, and develop new skills. At Westside Behavior Therapy, we provide individualized, center-based early intervention ABA therapy for young children with autism and other developmental needs.

Located in Beaverton, Oregon, our center welcomes families from throughout the greater Portland metropolitan area. Our comprehensive program focuses on helping children develop meaningful skills through engaging learning experiences that reflect their individual strengths, needs, and family priorities.

What Is Early Intervention ABA Therapy?

Early intervention Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy uses evidence-based teaching strategies to help young children develop skills that support communication, independence, social interaction, and participation in everyday activities.

During early childhood, children are learning how to communicate their needs, engage with others, navigate routines, and interact with the world around them. ABA therapy provides individualized instruction and opportunities to practice these skills in ways that are meaningful to each child.

At Westside, learning takes place through a combination of structured instruction, play-based activities, and natural learning opportunities throughout the day. We recognize that every child learns differently, and our approach reflects each child's individual developmental needs.

What Early Intervention Looks Like at Westside

Westside provides comprehensive, center-based ABA therapy in an environment designed to support young learners. Our program incorporates individualized instruction, play, peer interaction, and opportunities to practice skills during everyday routines.

Children attend either a morning or afternoon therapy session, receiving 20 hours of ABA therapy per week. This consistent schedule provides opportunities for repeated instruction and practice while allowing families to maintain time for other activities and experiences outside the center.

Our clinical team incorporates learning throughout the day, helping children use developing skills across different activities, environments, and interactions.

Individualized, One-on-One ABA Therapy

Every child at Westside receives one-on-one ABA therapy with a dedicated behavior technician. Each child's individualized treatment plan is developed and overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), with goals selected through assessment, ongoing data collection, and collaboration with families.

Although therapy is provided individually, children also have opportunities to interact with peers and participate in shared activities when clinically appropriate. Their assigned technician continues to provide individualized teaching and support during these experiences.

Treatment plans are regularly reviewed and adjusted based on each child's progress, developmental needs, and family priorities.

Partnering With Families

Families play an essential role in their child's ABA therapy. At Westside, we believe that meaningful collaboration helps ensure treatment goals reflect the priorities, routines, and experiences that matter most to each child and family.

Parents and caregivers participate in regularly scheduled meetings with their child's clinical team at least twice per month. These meetings provide opportunities to review progress, discuss concerns, and identify ways to support skills beyond the therapy center.

We value open communication and work to build supportive, cooperative relationships with the families we serve.
